“Watching the National Team, at the Olympic Qualifier, deliver an Olympic performance worthy of representing the US in 2020 Tokyo yet seeing them fall short of their dream by 2 tenths, made me think that if only I had been more active in supporting them, they might have overcome the odds and been able to represent the USA at the Olympics. TRUSTEE IN MEMORIAM
Joe brought a passion for youth development through aquatics sports to the USA Artistic Swimming Foundation Board of Trustees. He had 15 years of non-profit service in volunteer roles for the Merrimack Valley YMCA, including five years on the board of directors, five years on the ANA Synchro parent board and five years on the ANA Hurricanes (speed swimming) parent board. Joe joined the USA Artistic Swimming Foundation Board of Trustees in September 2017.
The USAASF is always looking for talented, experienced and dedicated people to join our Board of Trustees. Our Trustees have a variety of professional and non-profit experience – including strategic planning, marketing, management, technology, education, and accounting – but we all share a commitment to developing tomorrow’s leaders through involvement in artistic swimming.
We take seriously our responsibility to fund the future of artistic swimming by carefully managing the Foundation’s funds, by growing the endowment, and by wisely and thoughtfully giving grants to organizations throughout the US that are growing the sport at all levels, including grassroots development, the U.S. National Teams, and masters artistic swimming.
If you have fundraising, board and/or business experience, we want to meet you! Please read the Trustee job description below and contact our Beth Borland at Beth.Borland@usaartisticswimmingfoundation.org
Let's gather and cheer on Team USA as they compete at the Pan American Games and try to punch their ticket to Paris.
